I am an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Colorado Denver. I earned a B.A. and M.A. in Economics from Universidad de los Andes. I hold a Ph.D. and M.A. degree in Economics from Duke University. I am an Invited Researcher at J-PAL and a Faculty Affiliate at the CUPC at the University of Colorado Boulder.
My research focus is at the intersection of development and labor economics, with a special interest in the topics of conflict, migration and gender. My work has examined the impact of economic shocks (e.g., unexpected increases in violence, and temperature shocks) on labor market outcomes, human capital accumulation, health, and migration. |
